Heart Mountain Interpretive Center will offer FREE ADMISSION to visitors on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 24.
We wanted to give locals a chance to share area history with family members visiting for the holiday. There are only a handful of places in America where you can learn about this story, so we encourage you to come by this holiday weekend!
The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation, a coalition of former incarcerees, their descendants, and local Wyomingites, opened Heart Mountain Interpretive Center in 2011. This world-class museum features an award-winning permanent exhibit, as well as rotating special exhibit galleries. Currently on exhibit is “The Mountain Was Our Secret”, featuring works by Estelle Ishigo, a white woman who followed her Japanese American husband to the camp.
