Be transported back in time as Nancy Hall and Barb Beavers lead a historic walk on Bent Street for the Homesteader Days Festival kick off.
Followed by a family street festival, on Saturday, that honors our homesteading heritage. This must attend weekend in Powell is full of local flavor.
The Homesteader Museum highlights an exciting time in American history. Powell Wyoming was a part of the Shoshone Project which was a federal Reclamation Project in 1904 to bring irrigation to the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming and expand productive farmland westward. The people who settled here are rugged, hardworking Homesteaders. Powell continues to have a strong agricultural foundation with a forward-looking sensibility. The Museum does a wonderful job with local programs and national exhibits.
