Event Description:
Come experiment with molten metal and learn how to build your own back yard foundry! Do you need custom metal parts? Does the thought of melting metal sound fun? Come to the Foundry and Metal Casting class to learn the basics of metal casting and foundry work. Topics will include how to build a foundry as well as safety, mold-making, sand casting, and foundry operation. The class will conclude with a demonstration. Long pants, long sleeve shirts, closed-toe shoes, and safety glasses are required. Safety glasses will be provided if you do not have a pair.
