For more than 100 years the Park County Fair has been the premiere annual event to celebrate Wyoming’s farming and agricultural roots. The fair features the culture and heritage of Park County and has been a yearly institution of Powell, Wyoming for decades. The Park County Fair is a celebration of Park County and highlights our agricultural way of life, heritage, livestock, youth, artists, food, fun and more. The annual fair takes place the last full week of July and is fun for the entire family.
Powell is 75 miles east of Yellowstone National Park and 98 miles south of Billings, Montana. Lying between the Big Horn Mountains on the east and the Absaroka Range on the west, clear blue skies, clean air, a temperate climate, and loads of sunshine make the Powell Valley a great place to live and visit.
If you wanted to be in the Fair Parade, you would let me know. It is free and easy. The parade takes place on Saturday July 27th at 10am.
