Exclusive Tours at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West is teaming up with Hiking Buddy LLC to bring visitors into the beautiful lands and historic trails of the American West. Join us for an Exclusive Tours History Hike on Sunday, June 9 as we explore the Four Bear Trail located 17 miles west of Cody in Yellowstone country.
Four Bear Trail provides stunning vistas of the North Fork Shoshone River valley, showcasing captivating volcanic spires, turrets, and banded rock formations. Immerse yourself in the splendor of Cody’s natural landscapes as we traverse trails that wind through western terrains, wildflower filled sagebrush deserts, and picturesque geological formations. Join our expert guides for an immersive and enlightening journey through the rich history of this remarkable area.
This isn’t just a walk – it’s an interactive hike through time that will get your blood pumping! Engage with your guides, ask questions, enjoy the views, and join a trek that brings history and geology to life.
This hike will be 6 miles roundtrip and include short distances with moderate inclines and declines and beautiful views. This trek averages about 4.0 hours with lots of stops planned for participants to enjoy the scenery, learn some geology, catch our breath, and grab as many photos as desired. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a nature enthusiast, this tour caters to all levels of expertise. This Tours & Trails event begins at the Center of the West at 1 p.m. June 9 (our rain date is June 16, if necessary). We expect to return to the Center around 5:30 p.m. or a bit later. Let’s explore history together and discover YOUR West!
Registration is required as limited spots are available. Cost is $70 for Buffalo Bill Center of the West members and $75 for non-members. Shared transportation to the trailhead is available, and participants can enjoy complimentary trail snacks, water, and hiking poles for the duration of the event.
