A traveling exhibit of World War I-era posters from the National World War I Museum opens at the Homesteader Museum, Friday, May. 4. Fort Casper Museum organized the exhibit to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the United States entry into that global conflict. These large posters were created for a domestic audience and depict activities Americans were encouraged to undertake stateside to support the war effort overseas. “Home Front Posters of the Great War, 1917-1918” consists of thirty framed copies of posters from the collection of the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City. The exhibit will be on view at the Homesteader Museum May 4 through June 8.
